Jameis Winston Spots A New Look & Its All For Charity
Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ Jameis Winston joined other Tampa Bay Buccaneers teammates in cutting their hair and its all for a good cause. In an effort to support pediatric cancer research, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers players including Jameis Winston, who was the first pick during the NFL draft, were all sporting a new haircut.
On Tuesday, 12 Tampa Bay Buccaneers players came together at the team’s auditorium and they all had their hairs shaved. Their small act of shaving their heads or rocking a new look if you may like has been dubbed “The Cut For A Cure Charity Challenge” and it was able to raise a total of 30, 500 dollars. The money that was raised during the whole challenge will be used by the Pediatric Cancer Foundation so as help in coming up with the cure for cancer.
In addition to the total of 30,500 dollars that was raised for the challenge, Gerald McCoy, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Pro Bowl defensive tackle gave an extra 10,000 dollars.
This is the third consecutive years in which the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have taken part in the event and they have been able to raise an estimated 400,000 dollars ever since the whole challenge was initiated back in March.
It wasn’t only the players who helped out in raising the funds, the team’s front office as well as a couple of families who have one of their member battling out cancer, played a part in the whole fund-raising event and they were able to raise a total of 20,500 dollars.
